ABOUT

Located in the lower Hudson Valley, just one hour outside of New York City, The Ranch Hudson Valley is set on a historic, private lakefront estate that spans 200 forested acres. Esteemed New York designer Steven Gambrel, Principal of SR Gambrel, oversaw the design and layout, along with Chris Papaleo, Principal at Treestone Architecture and Construction, of all spaces, including the property’s 25 guest rooms, a dining room overlooking the onsite lake and gardens, a spa, and the transformation of the 2,000 square foot ballroom into The Ranch Gym. Great care was taken to preserve and highlight the property’s extraordinary architectural features while maintaining an inviting atmosphere. The estate is surrounded by the 4,000-acre Ringwood State Park, giving guests access to hundreds of miles of spectacular trails, while the nearby 40,000-acre Harriman State Park offers a spectacular alternative for morning hiking. Opened in April 2024, The Ranch’s first East Coast location brings The Ranch Malibu’s results-oriented, structured wellness program to its second standalone location, offering guests 3- and 4-night, immersive stays that deliver proven physical and mental benefits. Guests can enjoy unique seasonal activities throughout the year, complemented by plant-based, nutrient-dense meals. Each dish is crafted with a dedication to sustainable health, incorporating local, seasonal ingredients into fine dining-inspired dishes. Meals are enjoyed in a communal setting, fostering connections among guests. Morning stretch, afternoon fitness, yoga, and meditation classes are held in The Ranch Gym, and a new, state-of-the-art 5,000-square-foot solarium features an indoor heated pool for guests to enjoy throughout the year and fitness classes during the cooler months along with a hot and cold contrast plunge and infrared sauna. The Ranch Hudson Valley has become an escape for those seeking a rewarding experience that delivers mental and physical health benefits with additional services such as colon hydrotherapy, energy healing, acupuncture, chiropractic treatments and hypnotherapy also available. This Winter, the property debuted Winter Wellness Programming, which harmonizes outdoor adventures and restorative indoor activities. Guided hikes and snowshoeing on serene, less-traveled trails invite guests to enjoy the unique benefits of cool-weather hiking. Designed to enrich physical, mental, and emotional well-being, this seasonal program also includes mindfulness workshops alongside holistic therapies like the Breathe & Plunge class, which merges hot and cold plunges with breathwork to bolster lung capacity and nervous system balance. Joining these offerings is The Ranch’s Culinary Immersion, allows guests to engage in hands-on, plant-based cooking lessons with The Ranch’s chef. Most recently, The Ranch Hudson Valley, alongside The Ranch Malibu, partnered with Truemed to enable reimbursement on The Ranch’s transformational program for qualified guests through their own Health Saving Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). The Ranch is one of the first retreats where guests with chronic health conditions or general wellness concerns can use pre-tax dollars toward preventive care.
