The walls of the presidential suite are adorned with exquisite fine art prints sourced from renowned local and international artists and galleries. Curated to offer a glimpse into Kuwait's essence, these artworks provide abstract interpretations of stories, landscapes, and local elements, aiming to create a memorable and authentic guest experience. Drawing inspiration from Kuwait's rich history and promising future, the pieces highlight the country's geographical significance and its pivotal role in trade history. The artworks and accessories reflect various facets of the local landscape, incorporating shapes and colors inspired by the sea, as well as textures and patterns reminiscent of the desert sands. Spanning an expansive layout of 295 square meters, the suite features two elegant bedrooms, each outfitted with a king-sized bed and accompanied by a spacious bathroom. At the heart of the suite lies a generous living and dining area — a welcoming space ideal for intimate family moments or exclusive events. Guests can enjoy the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen, complete with an oven, stovetop, and dishwasher, ensuring a seamless in-suite dining experience. An exclusive benefit of the Presidential Suite is access to The Ikaros Club — a private lounge and dining space reserved for Waldorf Astoria Kuwait’s most distinguished guests. With a full-day culinary experience including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and dessert. The name “Ikaros” holds historical and symbolic significance. It originates from Failaka Island, a Kuwaiti island located approximately 20 kilometers off the coast in the Arabian Gulf. The name was given by Alexander the Great, who saw in it a resemblance to Icarus Island in the Aegean Sea. Meaning “the one who reaches the sky,” Ikaros is a fitting reflection of Waldorf Astoria Kuwait’s dedication to ambition, excellence, and business elevation.
Art also plays a central role in the guest experience. The corridors surrounding the suite are home to a curated art collection, featuring 39 unique pieces per floor across seven floors. In collaboration with artist Irina Paramonova, each artwork is a harmonious fusion of string art and abstract painting, narrating Kuwait’s cultural heritage in soothing blue tones.
