ABOUT

The Dean, the independent lifestyle hotel brand renowned for creating character-
rich, design-driven hotels, makes its German debut with the launch of The Dean Berlin in February
2026. Marking the brand’s first international property outside Ireland, the 81-room hotel brings The
Dean’s signature irreverent spirit to Charlottenburg, one of Berlin’s most storied and creative districts.
Designed by Rachael Gowdridge, The Dean Berlin transforms a late-19th-century building through a
layered aesthetic that balances rawness with refinement. Original architectural details are met with
bold colour, sculptural lighting, and Avante Garde aesthetics- a confident reflection of Berlin's energy
and artistic edge.
