Murka Hotel

The luxury resort hotel is situated in Xiaoshiyang Village, Zeya Town, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang, China, nestled in the mountains and built with locally sourced materials. The construction of the hotel is in harmony with the natural terrain of the area. The main building is made of local stones, giving it a raw and rustic architectural style. The hotel provides a serene getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and seamlessly blends with the surrounding environment, offering a tranquil harbor for its guests.

The project is divided into two phases. Phase I includes the reception hall, café, and hotel rooms in the main building. Phase II includes restaurants, cave hotel rooms, shared restaurants, bars, and additional facilities. Each room on the first floor of the main building is equipped with its own swimming pool and balcony leisure area.

The rooms are decorated mainly with microcement, and the top surface is made of local recycled old wooden boards, highlighting the roots of local culture and creating a natural and eco-friendly atmosphere.

The café features fair-faced concrete walls from the existing building, paired with medieval furniture to create a serene and uncomplicated atmosphere throughout the space.

The restaurant boasts a large, sturdy stone that has endured years of weathering and serves as the main structural support for the entire building. Aged woods with visible signs of time are crisscrossed like blocks to support the entire building, making the space brimmed with sentiment and poetry.

The cave hotel rooms feature the existing fair-faced concrete of the building and are built along the creek, giving them a natural and organic feel as if growing from the ground. The expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide breathtaking views of the bamboo forest, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere for guests to unwind and enjoy. Whether sipping tea or indulging in a good book, guests can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the surrounding nature. The focus of the experience is on providing a peaceful and comfortable stay for all.
