When this historical building was taken over by the owner, they were given an order to not modify or touch any single brick of the building to preserve its history, therefore Jasin Tedjasukmana and the team from KIAT Architects built a nine-level building resembling the original one by adapting to its neoclassical design.

Having lived for the past 25 years in Indonesia, Thomas Elliot, architect and designer brought his expertise in transforming The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta into a cherished jewel by using Art Deco style to complement its Neo-Classical design.
